Job Title: Accounts Payable
Term: Full Time/Permanent (12 months)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Summary: Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of all accounting and fiscal practices of the District, with guidance from the Chief Financial Officer. Solve problems with financial record keeping and reconciliations of accounts to the complete satisfaction of independent auditors. Ensure the integrity of internal controls and the District’s compliance with all external financial reporting requirements.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting at $50,000, based on credentials and experience.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with accounting emphasis preferred, but not required.
Accounts Payable experience is required.
Excellent computer skills – spreadsheet development and ability to use centralized financial software packages.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize and support procedures for financial operations.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities:
? Completes and maintains records of forms 1099
? Maintains paper inventory
? Completes online purchases, purchase orders, and curriculum orders
? Maintains employee confidence and protects the district’s reputation by keeping information confidential
? Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
? Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order; contract invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; or purchase order amendments
? Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports; preparing checks
? Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and creates bills paid reports ? Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions and maintains accurate records of transactions
? Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents
? Answer phones as needed
? Other duties as assigned
