We’re looking for our first Product Operations Manager: a builder, problem-solver, and operational enabler who will work directly with the Director of Product to define and establish the ProductOps function at Emma.
Your mission: create the systems, processes, and insights that help our product teams deliver their best work, faster. You’ll partner with product managers, engineering, design, and stakeholders across the business to make sure our product development is data-driven, transparent, and flawlessly executed.
This is a foundational role: you will be shaping not just how ProductOps works at Emma, but the operational DNA of our product organization for years to come.
What you'll do:Build the ProductOps Foundation: Define and implement processes, metrics, tools, and workflows that improve the speed, quality, and alignment of product delivery across teams. Own Product Team Enablement: Ensure our product teams have the right information, resources, and rituals to make great decisions quickly from roadmap planning to release retrospectives. Optimize Communication & Alignment: Create transparency in product priorities, progress, and outcomes, making sure stakeholders are informed and engaged without slowing teams down. Operationalize Product Strategy: Translate the product vision into clear operational plans, milestones, and success metrics, ensuring execution stays aligned to company goals. Data & Insights for Decision-Making: Partner with analytics to define and track product KPIs, operational metrics, and impact measurements, and make sure insights are accessible and actionable. Tooling & Systems Ownership: Evaluate, implement, and manage product management tools (roadmapping, backlog, documentation, feedback management) that improve team efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, design, marketing, operations, and customer teams ensuring everyone is rowing in the same direction. Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and inefficiencies in our product development process and drive initiatives to fix them. Who we're looking for:3–5 years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Product Management, or similar operational roles in a tech-first environment. Strong track record of improving product development processes and enabling product teams to operate more effectively. Excellent stakeholder management skills, you can collaborate with engineers, product managers, executives, and non-technical teams alike. Analytical mindset with experience working with product metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools. High proficiency with product development tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence). High proficiency with BI and Product Analytics Tooling (e.g. Tableau, GA, Amplitude) Strong communicator who can distill complexity into clarity. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling organization and thriving in ambiguity. Bonus: Experience building the ProductOps function from scratch or working in an early-stage product org.
