CENTRAL TEXAS VETERINARY SPECIALTY & EMERGENCY HOSPITAL is looking for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join their team in Austin and Round Rock, TX.
Are you a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer looking to make a meaningful impact in veterinary medicine? At Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital, we’re seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the health and well-being of our patients through expert ultrasound imaging and collaborative care.
What You’ll Do:
As a Sonographer at CTVSEH, you’ll play a vital role in both inpatient and outpatient ultrasound services, working closely with our radiologists, internists, and referring veterinarians. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-quality ultrasound imaging for inpatient and outpatient cases (OPUS)
- Coordinating with clients and veterinary teams to schedule and execute procedures
- Ensuring timely and accurate communication of results and follow-up care
- Supporting the ECC team with triage, patient care, and emergency procedures
- Assisting in surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, radiography, and post-operative recovery
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Proficiency in IV catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and drug calculation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
- Availability for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Schedule:
- Overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.
