RTS Leader presso Unilever

Unilever seeks an experienced Run To Standard (RTS) Leader to oversee operations at a new automated Distribution Centre at Port Sunlight Factories. The role focuses on optimizing customer service through leadership, safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

·        Role overview: The RTS Leader manages a team of about 25 shift-based employees, ensuring optimal Distribution Centre (DC) operations, machinery uptime, and quick resolution of breakdowns to meet customer service standards.   

·        Safety responsibilities: The leader enforces company safety policies, leads safety investigations, conducts audits, creates and reviews risk assessments, and ensures contractor safety compliance.   

·        Quality assurance: Ensures all quality procedures and standards are met, coaches team members, leads investigations into non-conformances, and takes corrective actions promptly.   

·        Customer service focus: Constantly monitors DC performance, anticipates problems to avoid delivery delays, drives loss reduction strategies, and coordinates with teams to maximize throughput.   

·        Cost management: Leads initiatives to reduce waste, energy use, and non-value activities, while adhering to labor and overtime budgets.  

·        Run to Standard expertise: Champions RTS methodology including 5S standards, continuous improvement plans, maintaining documentation, coaching, and embedding a “fix forever” mindset.   

·        Training and development: Maintains skills matrices, closes training gaps through coaching, promotes self-learning, and supports team upskilling.   

·        Problem solving: Applies deep machine and system knowledge to resolve faults, uses problem-solving tools, escalates complex issues, and prevents future reoccurrences.   

·        Change management: Proactively identifies improvements, leads change initiatives, manages projects efficiently, and supports smooth procedural transitions.
