Founded in 1994, as one of the first charter schools in California, TAS was guided then, and the charter cluster still is today, by the founding belief that all students can excel when nurtured in an environment that combines high expectations and active involvement from parents and the community. Under the direction of the Special Education Administrator, screen, evaluate and provide therapy, speech correction and special training to students with a variety of communication disabilities; monitor, assess and adjust therapy in response to student issues, needs and progress; meet, consult and confer with parents, staff, faculty, administrators and others concerning the speech and other communication needs and issues of students.
