 We’re looking for a Senior Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Brookfield, CT. Location
: Brookfield, CT (US). This is an on-site position; we are not open to remote candidates at this time.

Position Summary: The Senior Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory management processes across multiple departments or facilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role provides strategic oversight of inventory operations, leads process improvements, and serves as a key liaison between warehouse, procurement, and finance teams. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage inventory control activities to ensure optimal inventory accuracy and availability across all locations
  • Development and implement advanced inventory control strategies and best practices.
  • Oversee and analyze regular cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations to minimize shrinkage and discrepancies. 
  • Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, production, logistics and finance teams to align inventory goals with business objectives, develop and improve procedures and processes.
  • Utilize Oracle (or other relevant ERP systems) for inventory tracking, materials movements, purchase order processing, and reporting.
  • Manage and improve inventory tracking systems (e.g. ERP, WMS) and drive system optimization initiatives. 
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and provide insights for optimizing inventory management practices. 
  • Identify and resolve inventory related issues, implement corrective actions, and contribute to developing and improving inventory control procedures and processes. 
  • Serve as point of contact for internal and external inventory control audits. 
  • Mentor and support junior staff and help train team members on inventory procedures and system usage. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory performance, KPIs, and root cause analysis for variances.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and develop solutions to complex inventory challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools. 
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and cross functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in fast paced environment, and take initiatives to improve processes and achieve optimal results. 

Experience: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in inventory control, production planning , warehouse operations, or supply chain management.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or equivalent work experience.
  • APICS or other relevant supply chain certifications (e.g. CPIM, CSCP).

Travel: 

  • Less than 5%; occasional travel between facilities.
  • Flexibility to support physical inventory counts during off-hours or weekends required.
