Position Summary
The Accounting/HR Administrator is responsible for performing a variety of general accounting duties with an emphasis on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This role primarily supports the Accounting Department while also assisting Human Resources on projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting (Primary Focus)
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Generate financial reports and maintain supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Maintain organized accounting records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
HR Support (As Needed)
- Assist with HR projects such as recordkeeping, compliance tracking, and reporting.
- Provide support with payroll processing in Paylocity when needed.
- Support HR with special projects, data entry, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
Preferred Experience
- Strong background in general accounting (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Experience with financial and HR systems, including:
- Paylocity (payroll/HRIS)
- Karmak (ERP/dealership system)
- Infor Syteline (ERP/manufacturing system)
- DataRails (budgeting/financial reporting platform)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and financial best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Education & Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
