Campbell Fittings is pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and display mechanical aptitude.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform duties necessary to install, move, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery, tools, material handling devices, and other equipment throughout the plant and warehouse.  
• Use micrometers, rules, dial calipers, dial indicators, squares, protractors, levels, and various hand tools necessary to perform tasks.  
• Use milling machines, lathes, welders, grinders, drill presses, power saws, and hydraulic press to make repairs and to fabricate or modify guards, brackets, chutes, and other uncomplicated parts.  
• Perform minor maintenance to heating, cooling, ventilating and air conditioning systems.  
• Perform minor electrical work such as installing or repairing wiring, lighting fixtures, switches, and receptacles.   
• Perform building maintenance, including minor carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing.  
• Use company vehicles to pick up materials at local hardware, building, and industrial supply vendors.  
• Occasional assignments include set-up and/or operation of production machinery, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Perform a variety of complex installations, repairs, and maintenance throughout the plant and warehouse including mechanical repairs and adjustments, fabrication of complex repair and replacement parts, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.  
• Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair equipment according to supervisor's instructions.  
• Select replacement parts needed from spare parts manuals and give written list to Plant Manager.  
• Follow schedule and perform all duties related to preventative maintenance program.  
• Use computer to update preventative maintenance list.  
• Assist in maintaining an adequate supply of tooling, parts, hardware, and other materials kept on hand by reporting low stock quantities to Plant Manager.  
• Interact with outside vendors to obtain parts and/or direction to repair equipment when necessary.
• Instruct and/or give technical advice to trainees and lower grades of machine repairmen.  
• Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of schedules and costs, as well as the tools, machinery, and other equipment that is necessary to the function of the company.
• Clean and/or replace company tools, equipment, and supplies after use. 
• Leave equipment in a clean and orderly condition after servicing. 
• Clean machinery in machine shop after use.  
• Maintain tool carts, boxes, and cabinets in a clean and orderly condition.  
• Follow all established safety rules and procedures including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes:
• Mandatory: safety glasses, hard sole toe protection anti-slip shoes
• Optional: Welding protective equipment, respirator, hearing protection
• Report defective materials and unusual or unsafe conditions to Production Control Manager and/or Plant Manager.
• Performs other related or additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills including active listening
• Possess high degree of skill, ingenuity, and inventiveness in solving electrical, mechanical, and other system problems
• Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and able to ask for help when needed
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
• Must be comfortable and efficient in working in a busy open-floor environment
• Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as individually

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of working in a manufacturing environment required
• 5+ years of prior Maintenance Technician experience required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to bend and twist throughout entire shift.
