As the Employee Benefits Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Assist employees in the benefits program enrollment and benefit claims processes
- Maintain changes to the employee benefit platforms including employee salary adjustments and benefit eligibility status; Assist the Employee Benefits Specialist with maintenance of the pension platform
- Facilitate the resolution process in case of any dispute between an employee and a benefits carrier
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records
- Provide administrative support for Leave of Absence (LOA) administration by serving as the initial contact for employee absences, employee leave request and workers compensation claims
- Monitor the LOA email inbox for requests and questions; directs questions to the appropriate Employee Benefits team member or Director of Human Resources
- Creates and maintains employee leave of absence paper and electronic files; initiates the leave requests in the LOA tracking platform
- Monitor Short Term Disability (STD) and Paid Family Leave (PFL) and Workers Compensation (WC) insurance communications; update payroll data to reflect portions of the employee’s pay that will be paid by the respective vendor
Employee Benefits Assistant Minimum Salary: $ 22.00/hour
Employee Benefits Assistant Maximum Salary: $ 24.00/hour
Employee Benefits Assistant Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (35 hours/week)
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population
