Maintenance Technician

Location: Sherman, TX

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

· Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.

· Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.

· Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.

· Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

· Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.

· Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· Physical ability to perform manual labor, including bending, stooping, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.

· Valid driver's license.
