Permanent / full-time / 12-months / 8 hours per day / benefit eligible

Monthly Salary
Grade 74 ($4,317.76 - $6,026.53 per month) plus local supplement

The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position.  Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes.  For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.

Nature of Work
Remote and onsite computer hardware and software support for all students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or higher in I.T. related area preferred
• Microsoft Certifications in Windows 2019 Server and Windows 11 preferred
• Cisco, A+, Net+, Security+ Certifications preferred
• A minimum of 5 years employment in an I.T. related field.
• Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects

Responsibilities

• General Help Desk support for end users. (Windows clients, Office Applications, other educational and data management software.)
• General Field operations support for end users. (Windows clients, Office Applications, other educational and data management software.)
• Physical installation of network equipment, network wiring, and new computers is required. Therefore, candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and capable of physical activities required in these duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
