COMPENSATION:

Base range: $55,000 to $60,000 based on experience

Commission: 25% uncapped

The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving growth for our supply center. This position is primarily focused on growing target accounts and prospecting new customers, both on-site and through direct visits to prospects and existing clients.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and pursuing profitable business opportunities, while cultivating strong, lasting relationships with customers to help expand the supply center's market presence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Grow Supply Center Profit: Win back previous customers, grow sales with existing clients, and prospect new customers to drive business profitability
  • Product Expertise: Communicate and demonstrate core product knowledge, its applications, and the value it offers to customers
  • Customer Insight: Understand, assess, and anticipate customer objectives and needs to identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Negotiation Skills: Work closely with customers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure market value is met
  • Territory Development: Build and nurture a territory of accounts, developing lasting relationships with customers while growing sales for the branch

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years sales or customer service experience, in retail or distribution
  • Self-directed, highly organized, customer-focused, detail oriented, and competitive
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
  • Working knowledge of core building material products (specifically windows & siding) for both single and multi-family applications
  • Familiarity with new construction, light commercial building needs in addition to remodeling & renovation

Benefits:

  • Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; employees are also eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan that provides matching contributions; please note, benefits may vary for those working at a Union facility
  • Employees will receive a minimum of eight hours of vacation time every month and 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year
    • The New Years Eve Holiday may be observed in current or subsequent year depending on the day it falls
    • Individual departments or functions that need to deviate from the above schedule due to operating requirements will do so on an as needed basis
    • Employees who are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement will follow the holiday schedule provided in the CBA
  • Other Compensation may include, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range or wage scale, position dependent
  • The stated benefits are for full-time positions working 30+ hours a week; part-time positions may be eligible for limited benefits
