Hybrid Lead Welder presso Recycling Services of Florida

Recycling Services of Florida is looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Welder to join our team. This full-time position involves a combination of hands-on welding, fabrication, and leadership responsibilities. You’ll work primarily be helping to maintain and rebuild essential equipment like truck bodies and containers. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and oversee welding and fabrication tasks with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity 
• Perform MIG and Stick welding, along with torch and rosebud operations 
• Repair and rebuild roll-off containers, front-load containers, and truck bodies 
• Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and layouts 
• Order and maintain welding and shop supplies 
• Follow and document preventative maintenance procedures for equipment 
• Supervise team members and manage scheduling 
• Operate tools and machinery safely (e.g., torches, band saws, drill presses) 
• Ensure processed material is stacked and packed correctly for shipping 
• Maintain a clean and OSHA-compliant work environment 

Requirements

• 1+ years of welding experience (preferred) 
• Skilled in MIG and Stick welding (TIG and spot welding are a plus) 
• Experience with steel fabrication 
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to set up welding machines (adjust voltage, gas flow, etc.) 
• Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs. 
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious 
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
• Able to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks 

Minimum Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) 
• Welding experience  
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs 
• Must be able to work outdoors under cover
