$3,179.63 to $3,497.59 bi-weekly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Performs professional engineering work planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting, and/or implementing assigned projects for the Solid Waste Management Department.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.  A Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) Certification as an Engineering Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.  [An Engineering Intern (EI) and/or an Engineer in Training (EIT) is a person who has graduated from an engineering curriculum approved by the Board of Professional Engineers and who has passed the fundamentals of the engineering examination as provided by the rules adopted by that Board.].  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
