Sales Manager (m/f/d) Automotive

The position holder manages and is responsible for all commercial activities for specific project(s) of an OEM customer including project acquisition, strategically Customer Relationship Management, and securing business sustainability in strong cooperation with HQ.

Your Tasks:

  • Check the customer's specifications or forward them and, if necessary, concretize them, Involve internal contact points and assess realization possibilities in terms of technical, economic and time-related dimensions.
  • Check and coordinate contracts. Involve both contractual partners and internal stakeholders if necessary and define service interfaces.
  • When preparing the offer, technical, economic and ecological risks must be analyzed and ecological risks must be checked and clarified.
  • Check availability, reliability and safety and clarify additional developments.
  • In the event of deviations between specifications and offer descriptions, clarify with the customer.
  • Determine and pass on data for the quotation calculation according to economic, technical and ecological conditions.
  • Compare order and quotation, document and clarify deviations, correct calculation if necessary.
  • Defining the scope of delivery, delimiting deliveries, determining target costs and target dates, definition and specification of logistics and general boundary conditions, e.g. delivery conditions.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Information/Communications Technology, or a comparable technical discipline
  • Alternatively, a degree in Business Administration with a solid technical background
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales within the Automotive Industry, preferable with European Major OEMs
  • Preferably more than five years of experience in key account management, sales, or project management within the automotive industry
  • Strong background in electronic components or complex technical products
  • Proven track record in strategic customer management and leading commercial negotiations
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Structured, independent working style
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and reliability
  • Team-oriented with strong intercultural competence
  • Sound understanding of the interplay between business and technical requirements
  • Fluent German & English skills, both written and spoken
