MMPA is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to support our Constantine Operations team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our shipping processes running smoothly by providing essential administrative support and maintaining accurate records of business transactions and shipping activities.

You'll handle a variety of clerical and shipping responsibilities, using your knowledge of systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy in our daily operations.

About Us: The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), established in 1916, is a dairy farmer-owned and operated milk marketing cooperative and dairy processor. As the 10th largest dairy cooperative in the U.S., we proudly serve dairy farmers across Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Finished Product Fluid Shipping:

• Receive and check in fluid transport trucks
• Generate the load pick list
• Direct the driver to appropriate bay
• Complete shipping manifest upon completion of the load out process
• Check out the transport driver, ensuring all shipping paperwork is accurate
• Communication schedule changes to Dispatch, customers and/or haulers
• Verify all shipping tasks have been accurately completed with a step by step log.
• Stage drop trailers in the bay for loading.

Misc:

• Assist with balancing raw milk receipts
• Complete routine inventory counts and assist with month/year end cycles
• Vacation Relief for Office Clerk
• Other duties as assigned
• Vacation relief for Supervisor

Education and Work Experience:

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Functional Competencies needed:

Other Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit for long hours. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, walk, climb and hear.
