About the Role
The Talent Operations and Learning Support Specialist is a key member of the Talent Development team. This role focuses on coordinating the delivery of onboarding, learning, and performance programs through strong logistics, system management, and employee support. It is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information, creating smooth operational processes, and helping others succeed behind the scenes.
 
What You Will Do
 
Learning and Onboarding Coordination
• Plan and manage internal learning sessions, onboarding programs, and performance-related activities, including scheduling, materials preparation, virtual setup and attendance tracking
• Facilitate onboarding and people manager course to ensure a seamless and engaging participant experience
• Maintain planning tools and monitor timelines to ensure sessions are scheduled in advance, communications are accurate, and prework is completed
• Oversee the delivery of the Learning Center curriculum with consistency, adjusting for rescheduling or logistics needs as required
 
Systems, Reporting, and Program Operations
• Maintain learner records in the Learning Management System, including uploading completions, tracking assignments, and compiling feedback for reporting
• Manage access to LinkedIn Learning, SuccessFactors and resolve any employee issues
• Assist with key Talent Development processes such as performance management and certification by coordinating sessions, tracking participation, and preparing related materials
• Track and submit invoices, and maintain accurate documentation to support Talent Development budgets
• Create and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing
 
Facilitator Engagement, Communication, and Process Improvement
• Coordinate with volunteer facilitators to confirm session coverage, manage facilitator communications, and assist with appreciation and graduation events
• Respond to employee questions related to learning sessions, tools, and registration
• Manage internal communications and scheduling announcements for onboarding and learning programs
• Support administrative logistics for employee objectives, executive director and team dynamic innate traits debriefs
• Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and templates across Talent Development operations
 
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 1-2 years of experience in an HR, Talent Development, Learning, or administrative support role (Internship experience welcome)
• Experience using systems such as a Learning Management System, HRIS, or other internal platforms
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal follow-up
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
• Ability to handle sensitive data and employee questions with discretion
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and improve existing processes

Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $50,000 – $54,000.
