Hybrid Maintenance Technician / Handyman presso Fischer

We are on the hunt for a skilled and reliable handyman/maintenance technician to join our Restoration/Rebuild department. 

The Maintenance Technician, is in charge of performing ongoing maintenance, repairs, drywall work, installations, and remodel work. 

To be an effective Maintenance Technician, you will be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge are important parts of the successful candidates’ talents.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and maintenance repairs.
• Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.
• Detect and report the need for major repairs.
• Fix structural damage, for example: windows, doors, wall repairs
• Applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Repair work that would contribute/compliment the esthetics of a project

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
  
• Extremely organized with good communication skills.
• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
• A valid driver's license
