Hybrid Facility Maintenance Technician - FT - Rotating Schedule presso Bear Creek Mountain Resort

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal Facilities Maintenance Technician for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Facilities Maintenance team in enhancing the guest experience by maintaining the appearance and function of the facilities to Bear Creek standards.

Schedule: Rotating
Week 1 Hours Wed - Fri 8am-6:30 pm
Week 2 hours Tuesday - Saturday 1pm-11pm

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Perform general maintenance tasks which may include general carpentry, residential electrical, general plumbing and general maintenance.
• Receive daily work assignments from Facilities Maintenance Manager and review priorities and special projects
• Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance programs
• Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance programs in rooms, coordinating with the Housekeeping Manager and Hotel Front Desk
• Check work orders and night report for any problems
• Make rounds checking problem areas and note any information needed or safety concerns in the hotel
• Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas
• Assist other Facilities Maintenance personnel as instructed by Manager in regards to routine and preventive maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, use equipment only as intended
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments
• Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools and chemicals
• Assist with rooms maintenance
• Assume the responsibilities of the department technician conducting rounds and checking building equipment
• Recommend energy saving ideas
• Recommend safety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs
• Wipe down walls, clean and paint as needed
• Repair furniture
• Assist with snow removal

• Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
• Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
• Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
• Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
• Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
• Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
• Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
