Hybrid Extrusion Operator Level 1 (Die Chaser) presso Bonnell Carthage BU

DEPARTMENT:     Extrusion Die Shop

JOB TITLE:     Operator Level 1 (Die Chaser)

REPORTS TO:     Department Manager with direction from Team Captain

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS:   Week 1:  Monday through Wednesday, 6 pm – 6 am
                                             Week 2:  Monday through Thursday, 6 pm – 2 am

WAGE:    $17/hr.

Bonnell Aluminum is searching for an individual to join our Extrusion Die Shop team.  

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

•    Perform all daily AM / PM’s associated with the job.
•    Retrieve and break down die tooling from each press
•    Process die/die tooling through caustic, shot blast, and nitride when needed
•    Pump used caustic to caustic tank storage
•    Replace die tooling in proper bin location
•    Unload and receive log inventory
•    Load log tables (infeed to extrusion presses)
•    Organize, monitor, and maintain die bin and billet yard
•    Monitor scrap bundles and move full scrap bins to the billet yard when needed
•    Responsible for maintaining all measuring equipment / tools needed to perform duties
•    Perform quality checks on dies, die tooling, die rings, etc.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Job Requirements:

•    Die Chaser Certification (Bonnell)
•    Forklift certification (Bonnell)
•    Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
•    Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers)
•    Basic computer skills
•    Ability to work with little or no supervision
•    Maintain excellent attendance
•    English required, Spanish helpful
