We are currently seeking a highly motivated cybersecurity professional to join our IT Team!

COMPENSATION
$61,800.00 - $87,550.00 annually
*Hiring Salary Range: $61,800.00 - $74,675.00 annually
(starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications)

SUMMARY
The Cybersecurity Analyst I will support Ontario International Airport’s cybersecurity operations by assisting in monitoring, detection, incident response, compliance, and training initiatives. This entry-level role plays a critical part in protecting the airport’s IT infrastructure and data by working with senior cybersecurity and IT staff to analyze threats, respond to incidents, and maintain secure configurations across systems. This position reports to the Director of IT and aligns with OIAA’s commitment to national critical infrastructure resilience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Important and essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitoring & Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts using SIEM tools; analyze incidents and escalate potential threats; investigate anomalies.
Incident Response & Mitigation: Assist in identifying, containing, and resolving cybersecurity incidents (e.g., malware, phishing, unauthorized access); follow response protocols and support post-incident reviews.
Vulnerability Management & System Hardening: Conduct routine vulnerability scans, support patch deployment, and implement security configurations for workstations and network devices.
Security Awareness & Compliance Support: Create training materials, support phishing simulations, document compliance metrics, and assist with audit readiness (TSA, PCI, FAA).
Access Control & Identity Management: Manage user access requests, monitor MFA/SSO platforms, and help ensure compliance with role-based access control policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in transportation or related fields.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS), and compliance standards.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams under direction.
Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and continuous learning in the field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional certification or coursework in CompTIA Security+, CEH, or related field.
Familiarity with airport systems or critical infrastructure environments.
Experience using security tools for monitoring, patching, or identity management.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATION
Valid Driver’s License equivalent to a California Class C driver’s license
Acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment
Ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain an OIAA employee badge at ONT

This is an exempt and an at-will position. Only a valid and properly executed employment agreement may alter status as an at-will employee. Verbal contracts are not valid. The employment relationship may be terminated at the will of either party upon notice to the other. As an at-will employee, there would not be an established property interest in continued employment with OIAA.
