What is the purpose of this job?
The Senior Partnerships Manager will lead the identification, development and delivery of high-impact strategic industry-wide partnerships that enhance rail’s value proposition, grow consideration of rail as a mode and drive incremental journeys by rail in Great Britain.
What can I expect to do in this job?
Identify and develop proposals for strategic commercially driven partnerships with top-tier brands that align with the National Marketing Strategy objectives, including prospecting and negotiation.
· Build data-driven business cases to support partnership proposals.
· Consult with key industry stakeholders and secure support for partnership proposals.
· Where business cases secure support, work cross-functionally to design the customer proposition and delivery plan from deployment through to measuring impact and return on investment.
· Collaborate with marketing and propositions to integrate partnerships into the National Marketing Campaign.
Requirements
What experience, skills and knowledge do I need?
- Extensive experience in partnerships, business development, or commercial roles, ideally within the travel, hospitality, loyalty, or lifestyle sectors.
- · Strong track record in managing large-scale collaborations, travel promotions, and/or customer loyalty initiatives.
- · Demonstrable experience securing, structuring and managing high-value partnerships with top-tier brands.
- · Commercial acumen, excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- · Ability to collaborate, manage, influence and motivate across organisational boundaries.
- · Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to get input to and gain support for plans and ideas.
- · Logical thinker with an ability to challenge the convention, take initiative and think ‘out of the box’.
- · Excellent organisational skills with proven track record of successful delivery of initiatives.
