Hybrid Inventory Lead presso ODW Logistics

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Lead directs the logistics efforts of the distribution center and assists with loading/unloading product in the warehouse and performing other material handling operations as needed.                     

• Protect the accuracy, integrity and salability of our client’s inventory entrusted to us, by adhering to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations
• Maximize capacity through reports and ODW’s warehouse management system
• Operate material handling equipment to load/unload materials and move materials within the warehouse to pick orders and put product away
• Perform root cause analysis for inventory issues found through cycle counting or replenishment problems
• Train and develop employees on inventory processes, such as cycle counting and floor moves
• Communicate and work with various department supervisor/manager (transportation, warehouse, management, co-workers and customers) to ensure efficient operations and improvement of operational issues
• All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred
• 3 – 5+ years of warehouse experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, AS400, data entry and previous experience with web-based applications preferred

Physical & Mental Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to:

• Hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate
• Continuously sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion
• Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach
• Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
• Work with material handling equipment that must be operated according to specific operating procedures
• Spend 70 – 80% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment
