- Answer telephone and greet public.
- Respond to inquiries and direct to staff or administration as needed.
- Assist with:
a. Registration procedures and maintaining student cum files.
b. Student enrollment records.
c. Student attendance records.
d. Student discipline records.
e. Parent communications (flyers, newsletters, etc.).
f. Staff communications, using technology effectively (newsletters, bulletins, memos, etc.)
g. Time and attendance documentation, payroll, and calling substitute line. - Process mail, both internal and external.
- Enter work orders as needed.
- Provide medical treatment for sick or injured when Health Aide is not available.
- Assist with maintaining school purchase orders and materials inventory.
- Assist with maintaining school activity fund.
- Assist with school fund raisers.
- Assist with Coordination of parent activities, volunteers, SAAC Committee, Yearbook, etc.
- Assist with insuring efficient working operation of all office equipment and support equipment, such as copy machines, etc.
- Maintain an orderly, professional office appearance.
- Be able to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and situations simultaneously and with interruptions.
- May assist teachers with one or more of the following: implementing lesson plans; maintaining classroom; reinforcing skills and materials; administering, scoring, and/or recording tests and grades; evaluating students and/or program; preparing instructional materials; developing work schedules; performing clerical duties; maintaining files, records, and/or progress reports; supervising students to and from classroom and/or buses, on field trips, on playground, during lunch, in computer lab, and/or during other activities; preparing classroom or learning environment with needed supplies and materials; tutoring; and/or leading activities of class and/or small groups.
- Ability to assist students with understanding and reinforcing skills and materials in their native language, preferred. May also support parents by interpreting at school functions and/or by providing student progress information.
- May assist with student health care, including one or more of the following: administering first aid to ill or injured children; caring for bathroom needs; dispensing medication; assisting with medical needs.
- May attend appropriate in-services, building meetings, training, and/or school functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May assist in supporting parents by interpreting at school functions and/or by providing student progress information.
- May assist with student health care, including one or more of the following: administering first aid to ill or injured children; caring for bathroom needs; dispensing medication; assisting with medical needs; executing health care directives related to tube feeding, monitoring diabetes, and other situations; conducting health screenings; maintaining health records, logs, reports, and evaluations; and ordering and stocking medical supplies.
- May assist in the office answering phones, filing documents, assisting parents and teachers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year office experience preferred.
- 0-2 years’ experience working with children in a school setting. May require experience in health care; working with children with various learning and physical disabilities; or working on/with networks, network management, and/or integrated learning and application.

CALENDAR: 190 Days, 4 Hours per day/184 Days, 4 Hours per day

JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING:
Work is assigned by Principal and Office Secretary. Requires independent judgment and tact to respond to concerns/problems and direct them to the appropriate individual; to properly care for ill students, parent concerns and how to best support school operations. Decision making requires strong collaboration with Principal, office personnel, Health Aide, teachers, students, and families. Supervisor is always involved in decision making.
