Job Title:  Vice President of Production

Department: Production

Reports to: SVP, Production

FLSA Status: Exempt

This is a remote position.

 Pay Range: $125k-$150k + bonus, based on experience. 

Summary:                     

We are seeking a highly motivated Vice President of Production for our East Coast Region of branches. The Vice President of Production (VP of Production) is responsible for driving the growth, performance, and profitability of assigned branches. This role focuses on overseeing branch operations with a key emphasis on recruiting, developing, and retaining top-tier originators. With a strong understanding of the cyclical nature of the mortgage industry, the VP of Production will develop and execute strategies to expand branch production, ensure profitability, and build long-term relationships with branch leaders. The VP will leverage internal resources to provide guidance, maintain profitability, and ensure consistent growth, while maintaining a focus on APM’s core values of transparency, respect, and a “scrappy” culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:          

·  Growth and Retention of Branches:

  • Lead efforts to recruit and bring in new originators while ensuring the retention of existing production teams.
  • Focus on growing $300 million + in annual production volume.
  • Anticipate and navigate the cyclical changes in the mortgage industry to drive sustainable growth.
  • Create targeted strategies to enhance production capabilities across the East Coast branches.

·  Profitability & Branch Performance:

  • Maintain a high-priority focus on profitability, optimizing operations, and executing healthy branch initiatives.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and financial teams to create and implement comprehensive business plans for profitability and growth.
  • Monitor performance metrics and make necessary adjustments to maintain and increase profitability across all branches.

·  Seamless Transition of New Branches with Market Growth Leaders:

  • Develop a strong partnership with Market Growth Leader(s) to ensure a seamless transition of new branches after the first 90 days.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and oversight to assigned new branches, ensuring long-term success and stability.

·  Leverage Recruiting Resources:

  • Utilize available recruiting resources to continuously drive expansion and growth of originators into branches.
  • Identify and secure top talent to fuel production growth, ensuring the continued success of the branches.

·  Culture Leadership:

  • Serve as a culture ambassador, driving APM's core values of transparency, respect, and being “scrappy” in all daily interactions.
  • Foster a work environment where branches and originators feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed.

·  Collaboration with Production Leaders and Training Teams:

  • Establish strong relationships with production sales leaders and production training teams to drive engagement and support.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership teams to ensure comprehensive support for branches, promoting retention and long-term success.
  • Leverage training resources to ensure branch leaders and originators have the tools they need to succeed.

·  Travel & Regional Focus:

  • Travel as needed to support branch leadership, meet with key stakeholders, and ensure consistent alignment with company goals and objectives.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Branch Managers, as assigned

·  Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in mortgage production, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or VP-level position.

·  Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. 

·  Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, particularly with respect to production, recruiting, technology, P/L management and retention. Proven experience navigating the cyclical nature of the     industry. 

·  Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop teams. Proven track record in managing regional or large-scale branch operations. 

·  Sales Skills: Proven track record of sales success, including meeting or exceeding targets, developing new business, and closing deals. 

·  Financial Acumen: Strong financial oversight skills with a focus on profitability and growth.

·  Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using LOS & CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools to track performance and manage leads. 

·  Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to build and nurture relationships with branch leaders, originators, and key stakeholders across the region. 

·  Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate changes in the market and adapt strategies to ensure continued growth and success. 

·  Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate others. 

·  Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges and implement effective solutions. 

·  Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed within assigned areas to engage with branch leaders and ensure alignment with company goals.

Skills:
