TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SCHOOL AS A SPORTS LOCUM YOU WOULD:

  • Have a Bachelor of Education / Sports Management qualification, and a PGCE with a min. of 2 years of experience teaching Grades 4 - 7 Physical Education.
  • Have the ability to coach sport or train high performance athletes (advantageous)
  • Be highly effective and efficient, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be digitally proficient, with a min. intermediate level of MS Office, Excel and Word.
  • Have experience in coaching any sports code offered by the school (advantageous).
  • Have strong administrative skills, with an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be engaging, honest, genuine, and kind.
  • Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school
  • Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
  • Be SACE registered.

OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU WOULD:

  • Teach / Coach Grades 4 - 7 PE in the Junior School and be involved with high performance training in the Senior School.
  • Manage communications to parents and staff regarding sports activities.
  • Manage the process of indemnity, letters, budgets and permission slips for sporting events and tours.
  • Put fixture timetables together and communicate based on weekly planners.
  • Compile reports on sporting results on a weekly basis and for the year.
  • Assist with administration, applications, hours sheets etc.
  • Manage the Events Calendar for sport and facility bookings.
  • Mediate with parents in the event of queries/challenges.

This is a Sports Locum position for 5 months replacing a team member who will be on maternity leave.
