Job Description:
The Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion team in Valencia is looking for 2 Orientation Leaders to help support our Orientation week for undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing general student, programmatic, and logistical support to the arrival of these new students.
Employment Dates: Wednesday August 20 - Saturday August 31 2025 (Orientation week starts on Monday August 25, 2025 and finishes on Saturday August 31, 2025)
Type of Position: Full time temporary
Eligibility Requirements:
Berklee Valencia alumnus/alumna, including recent graduates (Class of July 2025)
Legally authorized to work in Spain and the European Union
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Based in Valencia and available for on-site work (housing not provided)
Fully available for Orientation Week and partial availability the preceding week for training and setup
Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing, and collaborative attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in music and live performance
Prior experience working with college/university students
Fluency in Spanish
Familiarity with audio, lighting, and live event production equipment
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with Orientation preparation one week prior to program start/arrival date
Responsible for 1-2 cohort of students at both the graduate and undergraduate level (approx 30-40 in each group) for campus tours, icebreakers, etc
Serve as first point of contact for students for questions regarding day-to-day logistics and getting around the city
Plan and lead extracurricular activities during Orientation (as assigned) to help students bond with each other and help them to engage with the Valencia and Berklee community. Sample activities include jam sessions or open mic nights, Spanish language circles, icebreakers, etc
Assist the Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion team with logistical support regarding preparing materials, Orientation sessions and activities.
Additional training and/or documentation may be required
