Hybrid Internship: Fabrication and optimization of quantum light sources presso Quandela
Quandela · Palaiseau, Francia · Hybrid
- Ufficio in Palaiseau
Quandela is a spin-off company from the French national laboratory CNRS founded in 2017. The company brings together teams of quantum technology specialists with broad experience in semiconductor nanotechnologies, quantum optics, computer science, and quantum information processing.
Located in the southern suburbs of Paris, with its main offices in Massy and fabrication facilities in the deep-tech campus of Paris-Saclay, Quandela is developing photonic quantum computing platforms. We work across the full quantum computing stack - from hardware to software and algorithms - with the goal of developing real-world use-cases and applications.
Our core product consists of ultra-bright sources of single-photons based on a disruptive technology developed for the past 15 years at the C2N-CNRS laboratory. These unique quantum light sources serve as building blocks for the development of optical quantum computers and the deployment of quantum networks.
During this internship, which can take place all year round, you will be part of the team in charge of the fabrication of these ultra-bright single-photon sources. In particular, you will be working on one of the following topics:
- Optical spectroscopy of quantum dots and in-situ photolithography
- Characterization of sources using customized optical tools
- Quantitative analysis of key metrics and their optimization
- Test and characterization of innovative solutions.
