Responsibilites and Tasks

All customer related administrative business creation activities:

  • Keep Customer Cross Reference files up-to-date in line with agreed contracts and quotations on a global base (other RMC to advice) by providing the sales prices to Customer Service
  • Sample order processing and follow-up together with External Sales: in order to optimize the opportunity of Murata’s products being included in new designs
  • Master file maintenance in cooperation with Customer Service: facilitate the day-to-day running of the customer’s account
  • Maintain accurate customer information, in order to have a clear record of customers’ specific requirements
  • Quotation process in cooperation together with External Sales: prepare calculations, annual negotiations, quotations; maintain the (global) price files and follow-up activities (following our internal regulations and Export Control regulations)
  • Register and maintain special global price groups
  • Join customer visits with External Sales when needed (e.g. annual negotiations, Logistics/SCM, etc.)
  • Continuously control the sales margin and take counter measures together with External Sales when necessary
  • Track Sales figures of our customers together with Sales and Business Planning
  • Global LOI tracking and shortage management together with Global Account Management
  • Support of contract management in cooperation with Customer Service and other operational departments (SCM topics, lead time, appendixes, etc.)
  • Maintain excellent working relations with your customer contacts
  • Internal relationship: facilitate the smooth communication and positive cooperation between Inside Sales and other Murata departments
  • Follow-up together with External Sales the in-time payment of our customers and solve issues (e.g. prices differences, Debit/Credit Notes, etc.)
  • Support internal and external projects

Required Knowledge/Experience

  • Secondary school level or comparable commercial education in connection with the appropriate professional experience (3 years)
  • First experience with ERP systems (USSO/AS400, SAP, ...)
  • Good commercial skills
  • Good English and local language skills in speaking and writing
  • Good skills in standard software (MS Office, ...) and Murata specific software
  • Basic product knowledge
  • Basic knowledge in Quality Management
  • Good communication skills (active listening, conflict management)
  • Ready for business trips
  • Basic negotiation skills
