What will I get to do?
Specific primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitates efficient development workflows and reliable software deployments
- Lead the engineering of AWS cloud-based servers, services, networks, and related activities, using infrastructure-as-code, and leading cloud engineering best practices.
- Support the management and maintenance of existing cloud infrastructure, ensuring its stability, scalability, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning
- Manages configuration drift
- Collaborates with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in the setup and management of policies, access controls, and security configurations within the AWS and other cloud environments.
What qualifications do I need?
Qualifications required for this position include:
- US Citizen and fluent English speaker
- Must possess current, active, DoD Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience in software/systems development and cloud infrastructure engineering (additional 4 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree)
- Proven experience in managing AWS cloud environments
- Solid working knowledge of standard computer software (Microsoft Office business suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Strong background in development and IT operations, with a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies and services.
- Experience in implementing and managing cloud policies, access controls, and security configurations.
What additional characteristics will help me thrive?
Possession of one or more of the following skills/certifications is highly desirable:
- Certified AWS DevOps Engineer Associate or Professional
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- Certified AWS Developer Associate
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
