Maintenance Technician 2nd shift, White Bear Lake, MN

We have an opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our White Bear Lake, MN team. You will provide technical maintenance support for automated manufacturing equipment to reduce any production losses from equipment or system failures. All required tooling to perform the duties will be provided by Pentair. This position reports directly into the site Maintenance Supervisor.
You will:
- Perform maintenance troubleshooting functions in select area with a primary focus on one of the following: Pleating equipment, hot melt machines, automated assembly/testing equipment.
- Will work with operations team members and engineers to trouble-shoot issues and improve equipment performance.
- Program and troubleshoot electronics/Programmable Logic Controls and continually upgrade skills and learn new technologies.
- Work with hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, and schematic readings.
- Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Understand and promote shop safety. Continuously practice safe work habits to keep accidents from happening. Must be aware of safety requirements to safely work alone, as well as in conjunction with other maintenance staff. (Lock out/Tag out procedures, etc.)
- Work with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Train maintenance personnel and/or technicians when necessary.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, and schematic readings
- Must have experience programming and troubleshooting PLC’s, working with CMMS software
- Must be able to work with high voltage electricity safely.
- Must be a self-starter and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- 5 years of directly related work experience OR a technical degree or certification.
- Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required on the manufacturing floor.
Shift/Hours:
- 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm Monday – Friday
- Voluntary overtime on Fridays
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this role is: $28.00 - $38.00/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
