Job: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Division: Weir ESCO
Location: Newton, Mississippi

Shift: 2nd Shift (11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Purpose of Role: The order clerk is responsible for filling customer orders from warehouse stock and placing incoming items into warehouse stock. The order clerk uses a printed pick list to determine the ordered parts/quantities and then pulls the ordered parts from stock manually or by using a fork-lift. The order clerk performs a variety of tasks as the parts are counted, packaged, entered into the computer, warehoused and loaded on trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety Culture.
- Packing parts correctly to meet customer orders utilizing a printed pick list
- Keeping track of the part Identification, type, surface finish, quantities and area where the parts are stored
- Loading and unloading outbound and inbound freight with a forklift
- Utilizing hoist to pack parts that vary in weight from a few ounces to several hundred pounds
- Putting parts into stock on a daily basis
- Entering information into the computer
- Occasionally the order clerk will move by hand a package weighing up to 50 pounds
Job Knowledge/Experience:
- 1-3 years previous experience in a similar role
- Some knowledge using inventory software and computers
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Problem-solving and decision making
- Proactivity and self-direction
- Interpersonal skills
Education:
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
