SUMMARY
The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC) is the premier provider of ocean transportation to the Department of Defense (DOD). The MSC is a pivotal role as a single DOD manager for sea transportation, operates a worldwide command using a Government/Contractor-owned fleet of many active ships, which supply strategic and operational sealift to meet national defense objectives.
The MSC has an extensive global shore support organization focused on ensuring that the MSC fleet will meet United States Navy (USN) Fleet and Joint commander requirements. This shore infrastructure includes a headquarters in the Virginia area, area commands, and support units located worldwide. To meet the need for high operational availability, MSC shore personnel and the Contractor workforce provide support for troubleshooting, repair, sustainment, and maintenance. The technical products and services provided through the ITESS Task Order deliver support for MSC Organizations and ship class.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare and deliver both Installation Design Plan (IDP) and As-Built Drawing packages in accordance with both MSC and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Standards.

· Provide technical troubleshooting, fault isolation and fault remediation to assist the Afloat Operations installation team to resolve any issues encountered during system installation or CRQ implementation process.
· Support facility and system installations, modifications, and changes.
· Support physical and/or logical installation of the system and systems elements, the
· installation of any necessary component devices, the installation of all required facility related
· elements, the activation and/or migration of associated components.
· Support activities for de-installation, deactivation and technology upgrades/refreshes.
· Review and follow all Pre-Installation Test and Check-Out Procedures.
· Provide Pre-Installation Test and Check-Out (PITCO) Procedures for systems under engineering activities that shall serve as test bed prior to LRIP and FRP.
· For all installations, provide a detailed Rollback Plan (RBP) for engineering activities to include a defined process for successful rollback of LRIP system to the prior MSC system baseline platform(s) should LRIP installation be deemed not feasible during installation.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
· Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
· Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
