Schedule Details/Additional Information:

  • FULL-TIME, NOC SHIFT
  • 8 or 12-hour shifts, depending on department scheduling protocol (the manager will cover this during the unit-specific interview)
  • Weekend & Holiday rotation will be required

Patient Care & Comfort

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, ambulation, and repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers 
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.

Postoperative Support

  • Apply ice packs and operate Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machines for joint replacement patients 
  • Set up and maintain traction devices for patients with joint fractures 
  • Monitor vital signs frequently, especially after surgery (e.g., every 30 minutes initially)

Mobility & Safety

  • Use and assist with mobility aids like walkers, crutches, and gait belts.
  • Understand and follow weight-bearing restrictions and movement precautions (e.g., no bending past 90° for hip replacements) 

Equipment & Procedures

  • Assist with bladder scanning, foley catheter care, and orthostatic blood pressure monitoring 
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist during minor procedures under supervision.

Communication & Coordination

  • Answer call lights promptly and ensure patient needs are met.
  • Coordinate with nurses and physical therapists to support rehabilitation goals.

Documentation & Supplies

  • Record patient input/output and other care-related data.
  • Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness in patient areas 


Qualifications:

  • HSD/GED/HSED
  • Completion of CNA Program & WI Nurse Aide Registry (TMU)

Pay Range

$20.40 - $30.60
