These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.What the Role IsThe Senior Data Scientist will provide strategic insights, analysis and leadership focussed on the Babylist fulfillment and operations. You will establish a discipline of visualizing, measuring and analyzing our supply chain operations; collaborating with product and business leaders to improve our process and ultimately our revenue generation. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Science, you will work closely with peers in product, engineering, finance and our broader leadership team to ensure that Babylist makes informed data-driven product decisionsWho You Are

  • Extensive background in e-commerce understanding supply chain for high volume consumer facing stores
  • 6+ years of experience in fast paced e-commerce environments
  • Startup company experience preferred
  • Must have deep knowledge and experience within Snowflake/SQL
  • Ability to design reports and reporting schedules to provide needed recommendations, insights, and data to technical and non-technical teams
  • Exhibits a high degree of ownership
  • Experience at companies with 7 figure annual user base
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
  • Python skills are preferred but not required
How You Will Make An Impact
  • Own the data that helps us to understand and make decisions about inventory planning and/or supply chain operations
  • Develop high leverage data products, such as reports, forecasts, & predictive models, that drive strategic decision making
  • Collaborate with product, operations and engineering teams on experiment design, product strategy and data use
  • Construct weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and forecasting for key metrics
  • Monitor and proactively troubleshoot (either personally or via your team) issues across fulfillment and operations, and offer data-backed recommendations that help resolve the issues
  • Develop insights and design experiments in collaboration with the product management team
  • Collaborate with other data team members to establish best practices in the use of data in improving our supply chain operations

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.The estimated pay range for this role is CAN $150,500.00 - $187,165.99In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our company takes the security and privacy of job applicants very seriously.
