Key Responsibilities:
- Create interactive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Analyse and interpret data to uncover trends and opportunities that support smarter business decisions.
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reports, ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Optimise SQL queries and data processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Translate complex data into clear, easy-to-understand insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive business improvements by supporting data integration and validating key metrics.
- Document key processes and contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 years + experience as a BI Analyst, with a strong track record of delivering interactive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, analysing, and optimising large datasets effectively.
- In-depth understanding of data modelling concepts, including facts, dimensions, and database hierarchies.
- Proficiency in designing and managing ETL/ELT processes and integrating diverse data sources.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data cleaning and automation is an advantage.
- Solid grasp of data governance principles to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Experience with data visualisation techniques to present information clearly through charts, graphs, and other mediums.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying trends and actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data for non-technical stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
- Passionate about learning and staying ahead of the curve with the latest BI tools and trends.
Minimum Criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
- Strong communication skills for translating complex data into actionable insights for various audiences.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles, including database hierarchies and dimensions.
