About the Role Our client is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the team. The product department currently consists of a co-founder (who has previously served as Head of Product) and four senior PMs. Initially, this individual will partner with other PMs on ongoing projects across the organization. As the team grows (currently around 25 engineers), this PM will eventually be assigned to a dedicated team. What's Cool About the Role - Work at a rapidly growing yet sustainable organization. You Will - **Manage the product roadmap.** Collaborate with stakeholders to determine what to build and when. In situations of uncertainty, you will be expected to provide clarity for the team. - **Frame up problems.** Clearly communicate what problems are being solved and why. This understanding aids engineers and designers in developing solutions. - **Conduct research and analysis.** Gather supporting evidence through user interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to effectively frame problems. - **Collaborate without meetings.** The organization promotes an asynchronous, non-meeting culture, which may be a shift for PMs familiar with meeting-heavy environments. Expect to engage in extensive writing! - **Persuade with a light touch.** Since not everyone will agree on priorities, it is your responsibility to guide the decision-making process inclusively. - **Report back on what’s working.** After shipping a product, help the team understand the impact of their work. You Have - 6+ years of experience in building and shipping web applications as a designer, engineer, or product manager at technology companies. - 2+ years as a PM in startup environments (growth-stage companies). - The ability to translate long-term strategies and extensive feature backlogs into actionable roadmaps. - Strong capability to manage uncertainty and ambiguity, making decisive calls despite limited information. - Empathy for users and a keen interest in engaging with them to understand their challenges. - Exceptional communication skills. - A team-first mentality; PMs are expected to support builders rather than assert ownership over the product. - Strong written communication skills, reflecting a documentation-first culture. - A desire and ability to work autonomously and drive your own work, as this environment is not suited for those who wait for instructions. - High empathy; a genuine concern for teammates and users is essential.
