Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.The work model for the role is: remoteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in North America.You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop timely, comprehensive and professional proposals with key metrics of proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate and profitability.
• Interpret Drawings, Data Sheets and Specifications to understand and adhere to design intent.
• Proactively suggest alternates and options (where possible) to reduce cost, improve value to customer and increase profitability.
• Develop/Maintain relationships and aggressively negotiate with key vendor partners and internal ABB factories. Utilize ABB’s product configuration tools as needed.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the electrical distribution industry.
• Experience quoting electrical switchgear.
• Residential market experience.
• In depth knowledge of Multifamily Residential product and solutions as well as competitors’ comparable products and solutions.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution and/or electrical construction industry.
• Knowledge of ABB’s configuration platforms including empower is an asset.
• Ability to leverage wide variety of electronic tools to stay organized and communicate effectively remotely (i.e. Usage of Microsoft Outlook, Salesfore.com, Jabber, Webex, etc.)
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
