Join our dynamic team at luupli, a social media technology company. We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to help architect and build the backend services for our next-generation social media platforms. This role is pivotal in creating high-performance applications that handle massive scale, enhance user engagement, and deliver seamless social experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, robust, and highly available backend systems using AWS services such as ECS, RDS, S3, OpenSearch and Lambda
- Develop APIs and microservices architecture using GRPC for efficient data communication between services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection
- Monitor, identify, and alleviate bottlenecks and bugs, and provide timely solutions to technical challenges
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices and the scalability of our infrastructure
.Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related files
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role with a strong grasp of service oriented architecture
- Expertise in AWS Cloud Services and managing serverless architectures
- Proficient in developing gRPC services and understanding of protocol buffers.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Desired Skills Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience in building applications for social media platforms or similar fields.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and pivot between various projects with differing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
