Influx is seeking to hire an experienced Head of Legal to oversee the legal affairs of the company and help us build a generational business.
This is a multidimensional role that:
- aligns legal and business strategy+practice
- drives continuous improvement of legal touchpoints in a wide range of diverse areas: commercial negotiation, contract management, HR, Privacy, Data Protection and so on
- supports effective corporate governance
- mitigates risk
- ensures legal efficiency; and
- humanizes our brand
The role reports to the COO and will often partner with the CEO (and co-founder).
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong initiative, as well as management skills and business acumen. Your wide experience in legal, regulatory and commercial contexts has made you a leader in your field. You have overseen the day to day legal issues in a growing company and owned org design, selection and development of a team.

What we’re looking for
- 10+ years of experience, minimum 3 years in-house
- Cross-jurisdiction experience
- A wide range of experience in contracts, negotiation, regulation and governance
- Strong listening skills
- An ability to write succinctly, in a way that ordinary people can understand
- A systematizer who feels bothered when things go “clunk”
- Someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High integrity
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors of Law Degree or equivalent qualification
- Certificate of Law education
- Practicing certification/Proof of admission to Bar in the country of residence
- 10 years of experience with at least 3 years as a legal in house
