Are you looking to work on a highly collaborative team of data engineers and data scientists? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your data insights drive key business decisions and innovative product features? In this role, you will lead the design and development of machine learning models that enhance Vectorworks' product features, while also managing and optimizing our big data infrastructure. You will extract and analyze data for reports and dashboards and build statistical and machine learning models to solve real-world problems. Your work will directly contribute to data-driven decision-making and the creation of innovative solutions across multiple departments. The Data Engineering team builds and maintains Vectorworks’ big data that transforms raw data into actionable insights, enabling innovative features and data-driven decision making across the company. During this Role You Will:

• Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to support new features in Vectorworks products.
• Provide strategic direction for data systems improvements and optimizations.
• Analyze data using statistical techniques to identify trends and deliver insights to multiple departments.
• Manage and process data requests, creating dashboards and reports as needed.
• Collaborate in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Assist in design and coding of software product components, units, and modules according to detailed specifications.

Here is What Success Looks Like:

• Prior experience with data pipelines and performing data extraction/analysis.
• You consistently deliver accurate, intuitive, and actionable insights to data customers.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and C++, with a deep understanding of data querying and analysis.
• You effectively communicate complex data insights across business areas.
• You show initiative by taking ownership of projects and driving them to successful completion.
• You continually apply and learn the latest machine learning concepts to improve product development and operations.

Extra Credit:

• Development and evaluation of machine learning models using Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Experience with AWS technologies, especially Redshift, Athena, Glue, EMR, OpenSearch, S3, SageMaker.
• Experience with distributed processing of large datasets, especially with PySpark.
• Ability to create and maintain well-designed, high-quality, robust software solutions.

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field is preferred.
