About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you would join our remote team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge fintech application. This role requires a deep understanding of server-side technologies, databases, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on building scalable and secure financial systems backed by documentation. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in backend development, capable of working independently, and passionate about fintech innovations.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building APIs using Laravel;
- Troubleshooting issues in the implementation and debug builds;
- Collaborating with front-end and other back-end developers on projects;
- Ensuring that integrations run smoothly;
- Scaling projects based on business needs;
- Maintaining backend applications and respective VPS servers;
- Presenting work in meetings with project stakeholders;
- Define and communicate technical and design requirements.
It'll be helpful if you have:
- Experience working with PHP and managing APIs such as REST;
- A solid understanding of application design using Laravel;
- Knowledge of database design and querying using SQL;
- Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript;
- Practical experience using the MVC architecture;
- A portfolio of applications and programs to your name;
- Problem-solving skills and a critical mindset;
- Great communication skills;
- The desire to continuously grow and improve.
