About This Role

You come from a previous technology support environment & understand how business and their technologies work. You have a broad understanding of different technologies (wireless, LAN, WAN, networks, POS systems) and a curious mindset to solve for technical gaps. You know how to work with and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional partners, taking on critical escalations to drive to resolution. You thrive in a business facing role and are extremely tech savvy with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As an Area Tech Lead, you have proven experience in communicating complex problems and solutions in an easy-to-understand way. You have a technical background and can solve IT issues in the moment when necessary. You are a steward of technology change, ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication, proper testing and thorough training. In addition, you have a strong voice and are a key escalation point for our business leaders. You excel at connection and relationship building.

You Will

  • Oversee the health of the technology in your given area for both Retail and Corporate (SSC) systems.
  • Schedule and execute regular technology sweeps, at all locations in your assigned area.
  • Regularly review logged incidents for your area to assess trending issues.
  • Assist in resolving critical events (Network down, multiple POS failures)
  • Attend any technology deployment projects, such as Renovations, Relocations and New Store/SSC Openings, to ensure successful technology implementation.
  • Build and sustain key relationships with business leaders and 3rd-party partners that provide Technology services for lululemon.
  • Capture feedback and ideas to improve technology from the field and effectively/diligently communicate and catalog this within the Technology team for future use.
  • Identify process constraints within our business and greater Technology org and work collaboratively to create new structures, processes or technology changes
  • Work with and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional partners, taking on critical escalations to drive to resolution
  • Actively engage our cross-functional partners in “areas of opportunity” within technology, to improve our current user and guest experience.
  • Own and lead additional strategic projects, duties and assignments as needed to drive continuous operational improvement efforts
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators and use these metrics to inform your strategies and ensure the best solutions are actioned; use metrics to story tell effectively to key stakeholders and decision makers

Qualifications

  • Fluency (written + verbal) in English and Spanish required.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Project Management or similar
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and personal responsibility
  • Experience working within technology support environment (Corporate and/or Retail)
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is an asset
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team or technical lead experience required
  • Ability to direct and maintain process improvement efforts
  • Ability to build positive relationships among senior management, staff, and client personnel
  • Adaptable, flexible, and a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and does it
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Proven ability to excel in a highly collaborative environment, with a passion for cross-functional engagement, enrollment and alignment
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in a high-pressure environment and deliver high quality product under tight timelines
  • A team player that truly believes they are successful when the organization is successful

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
