Their software significantly reduces the time it takes to obtain permits, providing end-to-end support including research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.

Having recently secured a $31 million Series A funding round, led by a prominent venture capital firm and supported by notable investors, this company is poised for rapid growth.

The team consists of architects, structural engineers, permitting experts, and workflow software specialists, all of whom have firsthand experience with the challenges of permitting.

📌About the Team

The engineering team is lean yet highly capable. Despite limited resources, they have achieved significant progress and are eager to expand further. This role will involve owning end-to-end projects, engaging with customers, and contributing to the overall growth of the company. Ideal candidates should be based in NYC or be willing to relocate for a hybrid work model, as the company currently operates in-person three days a week in their NYC office.

✅ What You’ll Do

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the CTO and engineering team to develop a groundbreaking construction permit application and management platform for builders. The current team includes engineers from reputable companies such as Uber, Amazon, and more. Background and experience are diverse, and individuals passionate about joining a small team and tackling real-world challenges are encouraged to apply.

- Collaborate directly with founders and users to shape the product and engineering roadmap.

- Take ownership of and ship features from inception through to implementation.

- Develop, iterate, and refine flexible workflow tools for permitting.

- Create exceptional user experiences that enable users to easily apply for, track, and manage their permitting processes.

- Mentor fellow engineers and team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.

- Proven experience in professional fullstack development, with some of that experience ideally gained in startup environments.

- Significant expertise within the specified tech stack.

- Demonstrated experience in leading technically demanding and cross-functional projects.

- A history of identifying valuable projects, establishing a strategic approach, and executing autonomously.
