Realising this growth is built on the sound foundations of manufacturing excellence; capacity management; cost effectiveness and above all else employee safety. The SVP Manufacturing takes the lead in delivering this within each of our global regions of which EMEA is the largest.

Reporting jointly to our EVP EMEA and EVP Global Manufacturing, as part of the strategic management teams for both, the role will be responsible for leading the operations teams across 12 manufacturing plants in 6 countries in EMEA (as part of our 19 sites globally), with a combined workforce of 2200 across the region as well as 750mEuro Revenue.

This critical role will define and deliver the manufacturing strategy through their management of the team across all our sites in EMEA, taking ownership and responsibility for manufacturing output; profitability; health and safety and the 2200 people in the 12 sites.

We are looking for a dynamic senior manufacturing leader therefore, who has the drive; ambition; experience and leadership credentials to manage the manufacturing operations and support the growth trajectory Kelvion is experiencing.

The role also plays a pivotal role, as part of our global manufacturing leadership team in creating a culture of safety; continuous improvement and process excellence in order to drive optimization, and sustainable performance gains throughout all our sites.

This position is essential for achieving competitive advantages and delivering value to customers and stakeholders. Kelvion’s manufacturing footprint, with 19 production sites globally, combined with our international Sales and Service network, enables us to be aligned closely to our customers; and to the unique markets in which they operate.


Key areas of focus and responsibility:


Ensure that employee safety is at the heart of everything we do across all sites. Drive the delivery of high quality, cost efficiency, and reliability as part of our global network of sites. Drive best in class manufacturing processes and standards, leveraging advanced technologies, lean principles and data driven analytics to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and drive operational excellence, people development & succession planning as you own and deliver the manufacturing strategy for EMEA

Accountability:


  • Continue the development of a safety first culture (zero accidents) across all sites
  • Plan, organize, direct and execute operations to achieve regional growth and profitability
  • Take the lead and develop a customer centric operations where customer focus; fast response; quality and optimal lead times are achieved
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results and profitability in line with business needs and growth targets
  • Develop and execute CI across all sites aligned with global initiatives and standards through the implementation of lean methodologies
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Lead and develop the EMEA Manufacturing team; building for the future (succession planning)
  • Drive 5S
  • Implement and maintain a synchronous production system (KMax)
  • Foster co-operation and technology alignment across all sites to drive performance; best practice and standardization

About you to be successful in this highly business critical role:


  • Experience in an international production company or supplier (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air filters, automotive or chemical)
  • Substantial experience managing growth across multiple manufacturing plants in multiple countries EMEA (ideally) or global
  • Proven team leadership experience including people development and succession planning delivered in a growing multi site environment
  • Proven record of successfully managing growth; and transforming operational processes in a flow production / similar industry as part of a global organization to support it
  • Adequate knowledge of business, finance and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources, calculations etc.)
  • Experience with Lean Management Principles (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred)
  • Dynamic leader; strategic thinker; proactive ; engaging and a positive decision maker
  • English fluent, both oral and written is essential
  • University degree, major in mechanical engineering or related


Due to the nature of the role a home based location within Europe is required (aligned to our legal entity framework) with an ability and desire to travel at least 50% of time to support all sites as needed. The applicant must have the legal right to work in one of our European entities therefore.
