LOCATION🌍

This role is based in Ireland. We have an office space in the Dublin City Centre for those who prefer a hybrid model where you can spend time with colleagues in-person. If necessary, the role can be remote within Ireland with coming together for team meetings as needed.


WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH 👨🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼

The SEO Analyst will join a small, dedicated SEO team, reporting to the SEO Manager. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage your expertise in driving organic traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing audience engagement across both organic and social channels.

You will collaborate with the web development team, manage ongoing SEO projects, provide testing and advice, and support the team with your extensive knowledge. In addition to handling technical SEO, you will oversee our blog platform, top-of-funnel (TOFU) content, and contribute to our social media presence. Your contributions will be crucial to expanding the SEO channel and participating in projects that indirectly influence Hostelworld's organic performance.

This multi-faceted role would particularly suit an experienced SEO technical analyst looking to broaden their remit into content creation, AI, and social content, or an experienced SEO content specialist looking to deepen their already impressive technical skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to develop their SEO skills and make a significant impact within a large company.

Somewhat unusually, in this unique role, you will work directly with an engineering team, acting in a capacity similar to that of a Product Owner. This setup allows you to prioritize and implement your own initiatives (instead of placing them into an endless backlog) enabling you to directly drive the success of your SEO roadmap.


WHAT YOU'LL DO 👩‍💻

  • Provide ad hoc and recurring analysis across a range of SEO and Content projects.
  • Identify audiences and content opportunities that can deliver Organic growth.
  • Manage our blog platform, including copy creation
  • Conduct keyword research and market analysis across multiple markets.
  • Conduct gap analysis and provide insights on competitor activity and results.
  • Make impactful, needle-moving recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Play the role of Product Owner in our development team
  • Understand how backlinks help SEO and be fluent with strategies within this area.
  • Understand how UX/CRO impacts SEO. Suggest and implement SEO, and UX experiments.
  • Support the web development team with your expertise and experience.
  • Work towards yearly/quarterly/monthly targets on tight deadlines.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 👀

You have a deep passion for SEO and digital marketing, driven by a relentless pursuit of solutions to sometimes complex SEO challenges. You embrace innovative approaches, believing that nothing is impossible, and are unafraid to think outside the box to achieve your objectives. Your hands-on experience includes impactful technical SEO solutions, such as programmatic and international SEO. You understand the dynamic nature of the SEO landscape and are open to exploring beyond traditional “blue links” to deliver results.

Business-driven and conversion-focused, you prioritize effectively to identify improvement opportunities. With strong analytical and project management skills, you align the website’s potential with business goals. You’re not afraid to admit when you don’t know something and proactively seek assistance when needed.


  • 4+ years of proven experience in Search Engine Optimization, preferably working on large-scale, multi-lingual websites in either client-side or agency roles.
  • Experience with content, copywriting, and content strategies.
  • Experience with social channels as part of a holistic marketing strategy.
  • Experience with A/B testing, CRO, and UX as part of SEO in general.
  • Strong analytical skills – you can dissect data, find issues, and identify opportunities.
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, and coding in general.
  • Working knowledge of leading SEO tools, including Ahrefs/Moz/Semrush/Sistrix/others.
  • A working knowledge of agile (using Jira or similar project management systems, and familiarity with the product owner role)
  • A working knowledge of WordPress CMS
  • Excellent presentation skills. Be able to tell simple stories about complex topics.
  • A second language (PT, FR, ES, DE, others) would also be very advantageous.
  • Be fluent in AI (GPT, Gemini, others). Be able to leverage it for SEO, productivity, and problem-solving.
