As a Data Analyst in the Wiley Research & Learning Marketing team, you will play a crucial role developing important datasets that influence strategic decision-making, shed light on campaign performance, and ensure the success of our publishing initiatives. We’re looking for a creative thinker, someone who can turn disparate data tables into valuable information and use it to develop an insights narrative that is clear and accessible to stakeholders. We have rich data landscape at our fingertips, this role is a key advocate in it’s practical use and constant exploration to the benefit of marketing effectiveness.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from our Snowflake database. Explore data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain strategically insightful reporting dashboards, ensuring that key stakeholders have access to actionable data to support decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate marketing and publishing campaigns. Utilize data analysis to assess the effectiveness of various campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and optimize performance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to influence business strategies and enhance overall performance.

We are looking for people who:

  • Experience (2+ years) as a Data Analyst, with demonstrated proficiency in using complex SQL queries to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Great communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.
  • A passion for academic publishing and a keen interest in the latest trends in the publishing industry is advantageous.
  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus.

It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
