What’s unique about this role?

As an SDE I on the Innovation Solutions team, you will be joining a highly dynamic, prolific and agile group. You will be employing modern development techniques, keen problem-solving skills, and best practices to deliver exceptional software solutions. Our team often handles multiple projects simultaneously and adapts quickly to evolving client and business needs. We primarily work with SQL, C#, React, and Python, but also support other languages in our legacy codebases. We use Azure DevOps for source control, feature backlog management, documentation, and more. This role focuses on delivering rapid software solutions to both internal and external customers, frequently utilizing SQL scripting via our Relativity platform. Other solutions may include small, single-purpose console applications in C# or Python. Additional responsibilities include fixing bugs and adding new features to existing codebases. Our team strongly values work-life balance and operates fully remotely.

What will this person do?

  • Monitor our ticketing queue for incoming client requests and provide robust software solutions under tight timelines.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learn the eDiscovery domain as well as Relativity, one of our primary client-facing tools.
  • Develop proficiency in SQL development and best practices.
  • Gain proficiency in other various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Utilize source control to regularly check in code and submit pull-requests.
  • Comprehensively document new and existing solutions and workflows.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing software applications and services.
  • Contribute to the design of software components and clearly communicate designs to team members.
  • Participate in the implementation of features from design to deployment.
  • Seek guidance and feedback from peers and mentors to continually improve skills and performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work or personal experience in scripting or application development.
  • 0 to 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar, with a strong emphasis on SQL experience.
  • Exposure to eDiscovery and experience with Relativity is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require occasionally working outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends).

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $80,000 to $100,000 per year. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
