The Role
We seek a passionate Technical Lead with strong back-end expertise and an increased interest in building AI Tech Products. Your skills and traits should balance business/product skills and nerdiness. Experience with building software as a service product is mandatory.
The role combines the unique opportunity to drive and lead the development team in building our organisation's technological foundation with hands-on coding work, especially on the back-end side.
We are looking for someone proactive, autonomous, curious, and hungry for learning – as you will do much of that in this position.
Compensation will be discussed and agreed upon based on your experience and skill set.
Must have previous experience with:
- Building a project end-to-end;
- Python
- Django
- PostgreSQL
- Kubernetes
- AI APIs integrations
- Next.js (or React)
- Github
It is a plus if you have experience with:
- Delivering production-ready, scalable & secure SaaS products
- AI Language Embeddings
- Vector Database
- Claude, Open AI, Gemini APIs
- Scraping techniques & 3rd party tools
- You have built web products from scratch
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Founder and the Product Lead to help define a scalable Product strategy
- Lead the back-end and front-end developers
- Understand granularly the back-end code and get involved to optimise product performance and scalability
- Spend some time writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. (first year approx. 70% of your time will be spent coding)
- Ensure we Integrate front-end components with the back-end AI models and algorithms to enable intelligent functionality.
- Stay updated with the latest AI developments and ensure we are one step ahead of the AI ecosystem's development.
