We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn SEO Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in search engine optimisation (SEO) and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing SEO strategies to enhance our online presence and support our marketing efforts.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Developing SEO Strategies:
- Conduct keyword research to support content creation.
- Help optimise website content, landing pages, and paid search copy.
- Support the development and execution of link building strategies.
- Website Analysis and Optimisation:
- Perform keyword discovery, expansion, and optimisation.
- Assist in researching and implementing search engine optimisation recommendations.
- Analyse competitors' SEO strategies to identify areas of improvement.
- Content Creation and Optimisation:
- Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, keyword-rich content.
- Help optimise existing content and assist in content creation processes.
- Technical SEO:
- Identify and report technical SEO issues on websites.
- Assist in ensuring websites are optimised for speed, mobile, and usability.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Assist in preparing performance reports and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align SEO efforts with overall marketing strategies.
- Communicate SEO strategies and goals to stakeholders across the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and practices.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz).
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enrolment in or recent completion of a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of PPC campaigns.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Familiarity with social media marketing.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
